Adelaide
Eagles
is one of many Little Athletics Centres
affiliated to the South Australian Little
Athletics Association. Little Athletics is a
national organisation aimed at boys and
girls aged 3 to 17 years that enjoy taking
part in sport. Little Athletics is for
children of all abilities and encourages
young athletes to compete
and improve themselves (personal best).

How much does it cost to
participate?
‘Come
and Try’
Children
considering
joining the Adelaide Eagles Little
Athletics Centre may attend up to 2
sessions, under
our ‘Come and Try’ offer
($5) before being required to register.
Please join in with your Age group for the
night's events and try out but please note
you can choose to watch until you are
confident to join in.
After a maximum of 2 trys, additional
participation will require children to
register.
Registration

Eagle’s
LAC intention is to keep costs for
families as low as possible and our fee
includes summer track and field season,
with professional coaching, winter
cross-country season, insurance and
membership of the Little Athletics
Association.
The
registration

Adelaide Eagles Little Athletics Centre.

When
you pay the registration fee you will
receive a centre handbook, a registration
number (to be sewn onto the front centre
of uniform), an Age Group Number (to be
sewn top left hand shoulder) and an IGA
logo (to be sewn on the right arm sleeve
of the top).
Special
Needs:
At the time of registering, please make it
known to the centre committee if your
child has any special medical needs that
may effect your child’s well being whilst
at the Centre, such as; asthma or
allergies.

Do the athletes require a
uniform? If so, where can you buy them?
Uniforms
Registered Little Athletes are encouraged
to wear the correct Centre uniform to all
events, and must be worn at all SALAA
events (with registration number and Age
group number attached). Adelaide Eagle’s
uniform is a red collared shirt printed
with Centre motif on the back (available
for purchase from the club). Boys may wear
either red bike or running shorts
(basketball style shorts not permitted).
Girls may wear red bike shorts or red
running shorts or briefs.
All
the above items are available through the
Club. Tiny Tots may wear a plain red polo
top.

Please
ensure
all athletes have their cloth registration
number and age group numbers attached on
the front of shirt (centred) with the age
number on the top left hand shoulder.
Footwear
Children
must
wear shoes at all times. Spiked shoes are
permitted for the U12 to U17 age groups,
in jump and laned events only (i.e., to a
maximum distance of 400m). Spikes must be
put on at the start and removed at the end
of the event. Maximum spike length at
Santos Stadium is 7mm.
Hats
The
Centre encourages all children and parents
to follow the Sun Smart Policy, wearing
hats that offer maximum sun protection, as
well as the use of sunscreen. Bucket hats
are recommended. If
a child is competing at State-run events,
they must wear their club uniform which
includes a red bucket hat.
It
is encouraged that all clothing that may
be removed during competition have name
tags to avoid confusion.
